At Valor Global Online, our commitment to the success and growth of each student is a top priority. We believe in fostering an environment where each student can thrive, and we offer various support mechanisms to ensure their understanding and success.

Live Class Attendance and One-on-One Support

Live class attendance is the best way for our teachers to support students in their learning efforts. If a student is struggling with questions or finding a concept challenging despite regular class attendance or having viewed the recorded class sessions, we warmly encourage them to arrange a one-on-one meeting with their teacher. This personalized interaction facilitates targeted guidance and support.

However, it's important to note that a teacher or advocate will not be able to offer ongoing one-on-one support for a student who is in need of consistent or daily help on the same subject.

When Outside Tutoring May Be Needed

In some situations, outside tutoring could complement our educational efforts. Here are circumstances when it might be considered:

Persistent Struggles with Specific Subjects: If a student consistently faces challenges in a particular subject, despite classroom support and additional resources.
Special Needs or Accommodations: For students with specific learning differences, IEPs, 504s, or other unique needs, specialized tutoring can offer individualized approaches that might not be feasible within the classroom setting.
Preparation for Advanced Examinations or Courses: If a student is aiming for a particularly advanced or specialized course or preparing for a challenging examination.
Lack of Progress Despite Interventions: If, after collaboration between teachers, advocates, and parents, and after implementing personalized learning strategies, a student's progress remains stagnant or declines, outside tutoring might be the next logical step.

Collaborative Decision Making

In any of these circumstances, the decision to seek outside tutoring should be made collaboratively between the teacher, advocate, student, and parent(s), keeping the focus on the best interest of the student. Our goal is always to foster an environment where each student can thrive, and if outside tutoring can contribute to that objective, we are supportive of that approach.
